These are some logos that I have constructed for organizations over the years. Each logo was constructed with the needs of each individual client using fonts, symbols and color schemes that best express the mission of the organization.
Winners Sankofa Intervention
Winners Sankofa Intervention utilizes a curriculum that intersperses African history, culture, and traditions within its programming. For the logo I created a stylized interpretation of a Sankofa, an Asante Adinkra symbol that translates to "Go back and get it" as well styled the font face for the letter “O” to coincide with the shape and color of the egg within the Sankofa.
Irie Vibes is a boutique and artist space that holds cultural events for the community. The owners wanted to incorporate butterflies into the image so I abstracted circular shapes and added a Jamaican color palette to coincide with the company's name.
The Comedy Blast
The Comedy Blast - Drôle et érotique is a throwback to the era of Burlesque, a comedy show with dance, audience participation and a little flash of skin. The Comedy Blast wanted an overhaul of their brand so I assisted in providing them a new logo and new web presence that better identified their themes of provocative fun.
The Heetizm Myami logo is a minimalist design that is utilizes the initials of the organization and is fully scalable. We decided to use shades of violet as depicted within the LGBT pride flag which symbolizes the soul.
Color In Common Logo
The Color In Common logo was designed with the recommendations of the participants within the group's membership in mind. An LGBT youth group sponsored by the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the logo combines the colors of the LGBT pride flag into a bar code symbol that reflects the energy, vitality and technological advances of today's youth.
SHIELDS for Families 20th Anniv Logo
The reconstruction of the SHIELDS for Families logo was designed specifically for a short run to celebrate the organization's 20th year anniversary. The color scheme of the logo was modified to silver tones and lighting/texture effects were added in recognition of this particular milestone. Additional verbiage was also included to indicate the organization's anniversary accomplishment.
The MaleMediaMind logo was designed to for immediate recognition when scaled to extreme large or small ratios. We decided to manipulate the basic Helvetica font for the large "M" and include the cutout "3" to symbolize the abbreviation of the full name. We also decided to go with shades of blue to indicate the spectrum of masculinity that the organization investigates.
